अनंत काल से आज तक

नारी ही रही है

जिसने हर

कठिन समय में भी

कंधे से कंधा मिला

दिया पुरुषों का साथ।

फिर भी पुरुषप्रधान

इस देश में ना

मिल सका

नारी को मान...

नारी तो बस नारी है।

प्यार और दुलार की मूर्ति नारी

ममता की मूर्ति है न्यारी

बच्चों से लेकर बूढ़ों तक

सभी को सँवारती है

यह नारी।

कभी सास तो कभी बहू

कभी बेटी तो कभी माँ

बनकर हर उम्मीद पर

खरी उतरती है नारी।

नारी तो बस नारी है

उसकी महिमा जो

समझ जाएँ

वह इस दुनिया से तर जाएँ

नारी का सम्मान करो

उसे भी उड़ने दो

गगन में अपनी स्वतंत्रता से

और फिर देखो

नारी का असली रूप

जो कभी दुर्गा, तो कभी सरस्वती

जिन्होंने जन्म लेने से पहले 
दम तोड़ दिया कोख में

भूखे मरने और सोने को मजबूर है

इस बार महिला दिवस 
उन पत्नियों के नाम 
जिसकी सिसकी निर्दयी पति के कान 
तक कभी नहीं पहुंची 
जो अपने नन्हें- नन्हें बालकों को लिए
रात-दिन नाप रही हैं सीढ़ियाँ
पिता-पति और भाई की
अदालत में...

यह महिला दिवस समर्पित है 
उन वधुओं के नाम 
जिन्हें बेवज़ह, बेकसूर 
दहेज कुंड में झौंक दिया गया
आज एक नहीं अनेक शैतान खड़े हैं
उन्हें
इस अग्निकुंड में ओमस्वाहा 
करने के लिए

समर्पित है उन कुंआरी कन्याओं के नाम 
जो अपनी पूरी ऊर्जा, प्रतिभा के साथ

कितने नगरसेठ बैठे हैं

अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस
विवरण	इस दिन को सम्पूर्ण विश्व की महिलाएँ देश, जात-पात, भाषा, राजनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक भेदभाव से परे एकजुट होकर मनाती हैं।

विशेष	संयुक्त राष्ट्र हर बार महिला दिवस पर एक थीम रखता है। वर्ष 2015 की थीम है- सशक्त महिला-सशक्त मानवता। महिलाओं को सशक्त करने का अर्थ है 'इंसानियत को बुलंद करना'।
अन्य जानकारी	दुनिया के प्रमुख विकसित एवं विकासशील देशों में भागदौड़ और आपाधापी से होने वाले तनाव के बारे में किए गए सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार भारत की सर्वाधिक महिलाएँ तनाव में रहती हैं। सर्वे में 87 प्रतिशत भारतीय महिलाओं ने कहा कि ज़्यादातर समय वे तनाव में रहती हैं और 82 प्रतिशत का कहना है कि उनके पास आराम करने के लिए वक़्त नहीं होता।

अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस (अंग्रेज़ी: International Women's Day) हर वर्ष '8 मार्च' को विश्वभर में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन सम्पूर्ण विश्व की महिलाएँ देश, जात-पात, भाषा, राजनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक भेदभाव से परे एकजुट होकर इस दिन को मनाती हैं। महिला दिवस पर स्त्री की प्रेम, स्नेह व मातृत्व के साथ ही शक्तिसंपन्न स्त्री की मूर्ति सामने आती है। इक्कीसवीं सदी की स्त्री ने स्वयं की शक्ति को पहचान लिया है और काफ़ी हद तक अपने अधिकारों के लिए लड़ना सीख लिया है। आज के समय में स्त्रियों ने सिद्ध किया है कि वे एक-दूसरे की दुश्मन नहीं, सहयोगी हैं।[1] संयुक्त राष्ट्र हर बार महिला दिवस पर एक थीम रखता है। वर्ष 2015 की थीम है- सशक्त महिला-सशक्त मानवता। महिलाओं को सशक्त करने का अर्थ है 'इंसानियत को बुलंद करना'।

इतिहास

इतिहास के अनुसार आम महिलाओं द्वारा समानाधिकार की यह लड़ाई शुरू की गई थी। लीसिसट्राटा नामक महिला ने प्राचीन ग्रीस में फ्रेंच क्रांति के दौरान युद्ध समाप्ति की मांग रखते हुए आंदोलन की शुरुआत की, फ़ारसी महिलाओं के समूह ने वरसेल्स में इस दिन एक मोर्चा निकाला, इसका उद्देश्य युद्ध के कारण महिलाओं पर बढ़ते अत्याचार को रोकना था। पहली बार सन् 1909 में सोशलिस्ट पार्टी ऑफ़ अमेरिका द्वारा पूरे अमेरिका में 28 फ़रवरी को महिला दिवस मनाया गया था। 1910 में सोशलिस्ट इंटरनेशनल द्वारा कोपेनहेगन में महिला दिवस की स्थापना हुई। 1911 में ऑस्ट्रिया, डेनमार्क, जर्मनी और स्विट्जरलैंड में लाखों महिलाओं ने रैली निकाली। इस रैली में मताधिकार, सरकारी नौकरी में भेदभाव खत्म करने जैसे मुद्दों की मांग उठी। प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के दौरान, रूसी महिलाओं द्वारा पहली बार शांति की स्थापना के लिए फ़रवरी माह के अंतिम रविवार को महिला दिवस मनाया गया। यूरोप भर में भी युद्ध विरोधी प्रदर्शन हुए। 1917 तक रूस के दो लाख से ज़्यादा सैनिक मारे गए, रूसी महिलाओं ने फिर रोटी और शांति के लिए इस दिन हड़ताल की। हालांकि राजनेता इसके ख़िलाफ़ थे, फिर भी महिलाओं ने आंदोलन जारी रखा और तब रूस के जार को अपनी गद्दी छोड़नी पड़ी और सरकार को महिलाओं को वोट के अधिकार की घोषणा करनी पड़ी।
'महिला दिवस' अब लगभग सभी विकसित, विकासशील देशों में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन महिलाओं को उनकी क्षमता, सामाजिक, राजनीतिक व आर्थिक तरक़्क़ी दिलाने व उन महिलाओं को याद करने का दिन है जिन्होंने महिलाओं को उनके अधिकार दिलाने के लिए अथक प्रयास किए।[2]'संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ' ने भी महिलाओं के समानाधिकार को बढ़ावा और सुरक्षा देने के लिए विश्वभर में कुछ नीतियाँ, कार्यक्रम और मापदंड निर्धारित किए हैं। भारत में भी 'महिला दिवस' व्यापक रूप से मनाया जाने लगा है।

दिनांक २८ फेब्रुवारी १९०९ रोजी, न्यूयॉर्क येथे पहिला महिला दिन साजरा करण्यात आला असला तरीही, सन १९१० च्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला परिषेदत मांडलेल्या सुचनेनुसार, ८ मार्च हा दिवस आंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिन म्हणून निश्चित करण्यात आला.

संपूर्ण अमेरिका आणि युरोपसहित जवळजवळ जगभरच्या स्त्रियांना विसाव्या शतकाच्या सुरुवातीपर्यंत मतदानाचा हक्क नाकारलेला होता. पुरुषप्रधान व्यवस्थेतील स्त्री-पुरुष विषमतेचे हे एक ढळढळीत उदाहरण. या अन्यायाविरुद्ध स्त्रिया आपापल्या परीने संघर्ष करीत होत्या. १८९० मध्ये अमेरिकेत मतदानाच्या हक्कासंदर्भात `द नॅशनल अमेरिकन सफ्रेजिस्ट असोसिएशन' स्थापन झाली. परंतु ही असोसिएशनसुद्धा वर्णद्वेषी आणि स्थलांतरितांविषयी पूर्वग्रह असणारी होती. दक्षिणेकडील देशांना काळया मतदात्यांपासून आणि उत्तर व पूर्वेकडील देशांना तेथील बहुसंख्य देशांतरित मतदात्यांपासून वाचवण्याकरता स्त्रियांना मतदानाच्या हक्क मिळायलाच हवा, अशा प्रकारचे आवाहन ती करत होती. अर्थात या मर्यादित हक्कांना बहुसंख्य काळया वर्णाच्या आणि देशांतरित कामगार स्त्रियांनी जोरदार विरोध केला आणि क्रांतिकारी मार्क्सवाद्यांनी केलेल्या सार्वत्रिक प्रौढ मतदानाच्या हक्कांच्या मागणीला पाठिंबा दिला. १९०७ साली स्टुटगार्ड येथे पहिली आंतरराष्ट्रीय समाजवादी महिला परिषद भरली.

त्यामध्ये क्लारा झेटकिन या कम्युनिस्ट कार्यकर्तीने `सार्वत्रिक मतदानाचा हक्क मिळवण्यासाठी संघर्ष करणे हे समाजवादी स्त्रियांचे कर्तव्य आहे.' अशी घोषणा केली. ८ मार्च १९०८ रोजी न्यूयॉर्कमध्ये वस्त्रोद्योगातील हजारो स्त्री-कामगारांनी रुटगर्स चौकात जमून प्रचंड मोठी ऐतिहासिक निदर्शने केली. दहा तासांचा दिवस आणि कामाच्या जागी सुरक्षितता ह्या मागण्या केल्या. या दोन मागण्यांबरोबरच लिंग, वर्ण, मालमत्ता आणि शैक्षणिक पार्श्वभूमीनिरपेक्ष सर्व प्रौढ स्त्री-पुरुषांना मतदानाचा हक्क मिळावा अशी मागणीही जोरकसपणे केली. अमेरिकन कामगार स्त्रियांच्या या व्यापक कृतीने क्लारा झेटकिन अतिशय प्रभावित झाली. १९१० साली कोपनहेगन येथे भरलेल्या दुसऱ्या आंतरराष्ट्नीय समाजवादी महिला परिषदेत, ८ मार्च १९०८ रोजी अमेरिकेतील स्त्री-कामगारांनी केलेल्या ऐतिहासिक कामगिरीच्या स्मरणार्थ, ८ मार्च हा `जागतिक महिला-दिन' म्हणून स्वीकारावा असा जो ठराव क्लाराने मांडला, तो पास झाला. यानंतर युरोप, अमेरिका वगैरे देशात सार्वत्रिक मतदानाच्या हक्कासाठी मोहिमा उघडल्या गेल्या. त्यांचा परिणाम म्हणून १९१८ साली इंग्लंडमध्ये व १९१९ साली अमेरिकेत या मागण्यांना यश मिळाले.^[२]

भारतात मुंबई येथे पहिला ८ मार्च हा महिला दिवस १९४३ साली साजरा झाला. १९७१ सालच्या ८ मार्चला पुण्यात एक मोठा मोर्चा काढण्यात आला होता. पुढे १९७५ हे वर्ष युनोने `जागतिक महिला वर्ष' म्हणून जाहीर केले. त्यानंतर स्त्रियांच्या समस्या ठळकपणे समाजासमोर येत गेल्या. स्त्रियांच्या संघटनांना बळकटी आली. बदलत्या सामाजिक, आर्थिक, राजकीय, सांस्कृतिक परिस्थितीनुसार काही प्रश्नांचे स्वरूप बदलत गेले तशा स्त्री संघटनांच्या मागण्याही बदलत गेल्या. आता बँका, कार्यालयांमधूनही ८ मार्च साजरा व्हायला लागला आहे. आजच्या काळात जागतिक महिला दिन सर्वत्र साजरा करताना दिसून येतो. .^[३]

१९७५ या जागतिक महिला वर्षाच्या निमित्ताने संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघटनेने आंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिन साजरा करण्याचे ठरविले. १९७७ साली संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघटनेच्या समितीने विविध सदस्यांना आमंत्रित करून ८ मार्च हा आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर महिलांचे अधिकार आणि जागतिक शांतता या हेतून साजरा करवा यासाठी आवाहन केले.^[४]

National Women's Day

National Women's Day is a South Africanpublic holiday celebrated annually on 9 August. The day commemorates the 1956 march of approximately 20 000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country's pass laws that required South Africans defined as "black" under The Population Registration Act to carry an internal passport, known as a pass, that served to maintain population segregation, control urbanisation, and manage migrant labour during the apartheid era.^[1] The first National Women's Day was celebrated on 9 August 1994.^[2] In 2006, a reenactment of the march was staged for its 50th anniversary, with many of the 1956 march veterans.

1956 Women's MarchEdit

On 9 August 1956, more than 20,000^[3] South African women of all races staged a march on the Union Buildings in protest against the proposed amendments to the Urban Areas Act of 1950, commonly referred to as the "pass laws". The march was led by Lilian Ngoyi, Helen Joseph, Rahima Moosa and Sophia Williams. Other participants included Frances Baard, a statue of whom was unveiled by Northern Cape Premier Hazel Jenkins in Kimberley (Frances Baard District Municipality) on National Women's Day 2009.^[4]The women left 14,000 petitions at the office doors of prime minister J.G. Strijdom.^[5]:1 The women stood silently for 30 minutes and then started singing a protest song that was composed in honour of the occasion: Wathint'Abafazi Wathint'imbokodo!(Now you have touched the women, you have struck a rock.).^[6] In the years since, the phrase (or its latest incarnation: "you strike a woman, you strike a rock") has come to represent women's courage and strength in South Africa.^{[citation needed]}

SignificanceEdit

National Women's day draws attention to significant issues South African women still face, such as parenting, Domestic violence, sexual harassment in the workplace, unequal pay, and schooling for all girls. It can be used as a day to fight for or protest these ideas.^[7]Due to this public holiday, there have been many significant advances. Before 1994, women had low representation in the parliament, only at 2.7%. Women in the national assembly were at 27.7%. This number has nearly doubled, being at 48% representation throughout the country's government.^[8] National women's day is based around much of the same principles as International Women's Day, and strives for much of the same freedoms and rights

Respected Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, Directors of the ‘ABC for women’, Party organisers and the visitors!

First of all, I would like to welcome you all to the 7th annual Award Distribution Ceremony. Like every year, we have organised the event on the International Women’s Day as our Organisation is a Non-Profit Organisation that works for the development of deprived women in various parts of the country. Started just 7 years ago, it gives me immense pleasure to share that today we have 15 branches across India and the fame of our NGO has spread across the world. Since International Women’s Day is celebrated globally to honour the achievements of women in the field of Social, politics and economy; therefore this celebration is organized to give recognition to these personalities. We have several people working voluntarily for the NGO in order to contribute to the welfare of women and to the society subsequently.

Celebrated on 8^th March, every year, the significance of International Women’s Day is increasing year after year and has become a custom today. It appears as a celebration of respect, appreciation, love and care towards women. It is glad to know that Women’s Day is also celebrated in colleges and schools nowadays which instil respect and care for women in the minds of young brains since their childhood itself. It also forms an essential part of the curriculum in some schools in order to spread the knowledge and awareness of women empowerment, their position in the society and their achievements.

I have been given this opportunity to host the program and I am extremely glad since this is an opportunity for me to thank all those women who have played an important role in my life. I probably never wish verbally these ladies on the ‘International Women’s Day’, but deep inside my heart I always thank them for being in my life and shaping it the way it is today.

My mother, my sister and my wife are the three important women in my life, who have not only made me a better person and supported me through thick and thin, but also inspired me to join this NGO and do something fruitful for the society. On professional front, I met Mrs. A and Mrs D at this organisation and after witnessing their hard work and knowing about the hardships they have been through in the past, they have become the greatest inspirations for me. In fact, all the women colleagues and staffs here, irrespective of your position and posts, you all are wonderful creations of God because you not only manage the office well but also ensure that every need of your house is met perfectly. That’s the reason, our NGO always emphasize upon giving due honour to the women in their life. They need respect, care, support and motivation from us.

Today’s woman is no longer a dependent soul; she is Independent and self-reliant in every respect and is capable of doing everything. Let’s recognise the importance of their existence and motivate them for the future achievements.Thank You!

Good Morning Friends!

We have gathered here to celebrate the International Women’s Day at our office; I am extremely glad that I have been given this opportunity to host the program and deliver a speech today. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the CEO, Board of Directors and the Management of this organisation which gives so much of importance to women empowerment at work and in the society and thus our company celebrates this event every year with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. It’s really an honour to be a part of this organisation.

International Women’s Day is celebrated across the world to pay honour to the great women of the society. Empowering women is very necessary for bringing gender equality. Those societies flourish well where women are given equal respect and are not taken for granted. Most of the conventional people still feel that women should be confined to household chores and should not step out for work, etc as that’s not their area of work; which shouldn’t be practiced in today’s society. Women today have got equal potential provided they are been trusted and valued. Today’s women realize their strengths and abilities and step out in order to contribute to the society and the world consequently.

Being a woman myself, it really feels nice to have a special day for women too when they can be appreciated and honoured. But I feel that woman should be respected not just because they are women, but also because they are individuals with their own identity. They contribute equally to the betterment of the society. If I can be little biased then I would say, if there is no woman on the earth then mankind would cease to exist because it’s a woman who brings life to this earth. Every woman is special whether she is working at home or office or doing both. She plays an important role in the upbringing of children and managing their home efficiently.

Well, like I said previously, our organisation gives utmost importance to gender equality and I am pleased to announce that the company is now associated with three different Non-Government Organisations that work for the women and children betterment. I have been given the responsibility to complete all the formalities and would be managing the relevant day to day activities. While I am very glad and feel honoured, I am also determined that together we’ll be able to help all those women who are deprived, needy or require support to stand shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts in the socie

We have lots of plans on the agenda and we will begin with making visits to the remote areas where education is still a dream for young girls. Not only do we plan to introduce education system in those localities in association with the NGOs, but we will also fund 50% of the total education cost. I am sure, this journey is going to be a learning experience for me but I would also need your good wishes and motivation.

Good morning everyone!

Welcome ladies to this special get together of ours on occasion of Women’s day. Though I believe that everyday should be dedicated to the celebration womanhood but we all know we would sound so unfair to men for this.. Just kidding.

International women’s day is the day that is specially dedicated to the women’s for praising them for the tremendous efforts that they put in for everyone. Presence of a woman has such a strong impact in everyone’s life. This world would have not been possible without this species. Woman is not only the one who is married or somebody who is beyond a certain age. Each feminine that is born has the inherited woman traits in herself. The special feelings of care, affection, endless and overwhelming love and many more. Women are the perfect entities to be celebrated.

We women should cherish the blessing of being a woman. I know at times in life we feel that we are only ones who have to make sacrifices or who have to let go their feelings and dreams for others linked to us, but, it is just the result of the power that god has given us. God created the feminine creature as a symbol of utmost affection that not only leads the perfect life for herself but also lays down the strongest base for others dreams as well.

That is why I said, this single 24 hour day is way too short for appreciating or recognizing the deeds that woman do. This day is specified as the day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, political and personal achievements of a woman. Each one of us is so confident to know our weaknesses and work with the best of the efforts to overcome them. It seems so great to see when the reward and recognition posts go on declaring the ‘Top 100 women entrepreneurs’, ‘Top 20 women CEOs’, ‘Women leading the NGOs’, etc. Women are reaching great heights of recognition and working style. This day is dedicated to the parity discussion as well.

We should continue putting in all our efforts. There is no stance in which we women are less in comparison to men. It is just our mindset, changing our mindset and our actions is the first thing we should focus on. Our actions and thoughts will make us lead the great height of our dreams and further let the world believe us and our deeds. Women’s day for me, is just a hault that makes me realise the efforts we have put in throughout the 365 days for ourselves and all other people linked to us.

Each women should understand their importance and should have the courage to built in their efforts for their own progress. Happy women’s day to every beautiful women present here, on behalf of the entire organization I would like to thank you all for being a part of it and making it fulfill its vision of success.

Hello everybody, good morning to all beautiful personalities present here. You all must be knowing that this early morning we are gathered here to share our gratitude towards our women employees on this occasion of International Women’s day.

On behalf of the entire management and everybody present here, I would like to extend my thanks to all the ladies present here. You people are incredible in your own way. I am pretty sure that I will be short of words to express my gratitude for the womanhood. Entire feminine category present in this nation has lead this world to an extraordinary extent. This single day is way too concise to appreciate the things you people do on both personal and professional end of your lives. There is no limit to the work or efforts that a woman can put forward for her own progress as well as the progress of the people linked to her.

In the past decades women have been able to showcase themselves in such a perfect manner that mindset of people has widen to recognize the deeds done by women overall for themselves and the society. It is celebrated to enhance the worldwide awareness about women, their rights, their contributions, importance of education for them, their career opportunities and much more. Scope of celebration of women day cannot be defined as the deeds done by women as it can never ever be summed up. Talk about a relation and you will have endless efforts that the woman put in for it. Workfront or homefront everyplace has a special non replaceable role that the women plays.

Women have continuously strived through put in a strong image for themselves through the past decades. And, I will suggest you all to keep doing your best. You should stand strong and fight for your rights, you have all rights to further educate yourselves and enhance your skills, learn safety techniques and much more. Woman have been just like water, easy to fit on every role that they are offered for. Personal or professional, big or small, entrepreneurs or employees; each and every role has witnessed the perfect blend of women combination. We are overwhelmed to have you all in our organization, each of yours presence has enhanced the company’s progress.

Glad that we get this honour of recognizing and celebrating our efforts on this occasion of women day. Sorry, male employees but just see how special these women are that a special dedicated day is announced for them. We all should owe this responsibility to appreciate and respect every women present in our lives. They are the best blend of teachings and affections.

Happy women’s day to all you courageous and incredible women. Your presence is inexpressible in few words and so are your deeds. Each one of you has the perfect special role that you are playing in many lives. Without women the world and our lives are incomplete.

International Women’s Day Speech – 5

Good Morning everyone, Thanks for your get together here and giving your precious time, on this special occasion I am going to deliver a speech on International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day is celebrated with full enthusiasm all over the world. It has been observed since early 1990s but now it is celebrated every year on 8^thMarch. The agenda behind celebrating this day is to empower the women who has gone through number of hurdles all through her life be it their social, political, religious, and cultural rights simultaneously it also calls for “Gender Equality”.

No any single government or any association is responsible for the creation of this day instead it is made possible with the collective efforts of all those who cares about the human rights. This day reminds us of all the contributions and achievements of the women in the society. It is celebrated to show the respect, care and place we owe to them.

Thus International Women’s Day is all about unity, integrity, celebration, and reflection of struggles which is proven well over a century and continues to strengthen with the passage of time. We take many pledges but forget the actions that are being required to fulfill those pledges. In lieu of this International Women’s Day is being celebrated globally. We all are not born equal but by the grace of almighty we all are born with the same rights “Human Rights”. And thus have the right to be treated equally, right to seek equal education and other benefits from which the females have been deprived of since long.

Many past records can evidently prove that women’s have been doing great in many fields leaving behind the gentleman’s of the country. Cheers to the “Feminism” you yourself is the creator of your own identity.

Women’s Day Poem Speech in Hindi

एक दिवस आता है और हम अपने आपको समूचा उड़ेल देते हैं, नारों, भाषणों, सेमिनारों और आलेखों में। बड़े-बड़े दावे, बड़ी-बड़ी बातें। यथार्थ इतना क्रूर कि एक कोई घटना तमाचे की तरह गाल पर पड़ती है और हम फिर बेबस, असहाय, अकिंचन।

महिला दिवस हम सभी का अस्मिता दिवस है। गरिमा दिवस या जागरण दिवस कह लीजिए। उन जुझारू और जीवट महिलाओं की स्मृति में मनाया जाने वाला जो काम के घंटे कम किए जाने के लिए संघर्ष करती हुई शहीद हो गई। इतिहास में महिलाओं द्वारा प्रखरता से दर्ज किया गया वह पहला संगठित विरोध था। फलत: 8 मार्च नियत हुआ महिलाओं की उस अदम्य इच्छाशक्ति और दृढ़ता को सम्मानित करने के लिए।

जब हम ‘फेमिनिस्ट’ होते हैं तब जोश और संकल्पों से लैस हो दुनिया को बदलने निकल पड़ते हैं। तब हमें नहीं दिखाई देती अपने ही आसपास की सिसकतीं, सुबकतीं स्वयं को सँभालतीं खामोश स्त्रियाँ। न जाने कितनी शोषित, पीड़ित और व्यथित नारियाँ हैं, जो मन की अथाह गहराइयों में दर्द के समुद्री शैवाल छुपाए हैं।

कब-कब, कहाँ-कहाँ, कैसे-कैसे छली और तली गई स्त्रियाँ। मन, कर्म और वचन से प्रताड़ित नारियाँ। मानसिक, भावनात्मक और सामाजिक-असामाजिक कुरीतियों, विकृतियों की शिकार महिलाएँ। सामाजिक ढाँचे में छटपटातीं, कसमसातीं औरत, जिन्हें कोई देखना या सुनना पसंद नहीं करता। क्यों हम जागें किसी एक दिन। क्यों न जागें हर दिन, हर पल अपने आपके लिए।

8 मार्च मनाएँ, लेकिन महिला दिवस सही अर्थों में तब होता है जब सुनीता विलियम्स सितारों की दुनिया में मुस्कुराती हुई विचरण करती हैं। तब जब तमाम ‘प्रभावों’ का इस्तेमाल करने के बाद भी कोई ‘मनु शर्मा’ सलाखों के पीछे चला जाता है और एक लड़ाई जीत ली जाती है।

मगर तब महिला दिवस किस ‘श्राद्ध’ की तरह लगता है जब नन्ही-सुकोमल बच्चियाँ निम्न स्तरीर तरीके से छेड़छाड़ की शिकार होती हैं। शर्म आती है इस दिवस को मनाने से जब ‘धन्वंतरि’ जैसी सास किसी हॉरर शो की तरह अपनी बहू के टुकड़े कर डालती है और एक समय विशेष के बाद एक राजनीतिक चादर में गठरी बनाकर न जाने कौन से बगीचे के कोने में फेंक दी जाती है। जाने कहाँ चले जाते हैं वे मंचासीन सफेदपोश जो ‘भूमि’ के फोटो को माला पहनाकर खुद माला पहन कार का शीशा चढ़ाकर धुआँ छोड़ते दिखाई देते थे।
